Mini Flag Quiz How to play
This guide follows the current game from Start through the tenth feedback screen and final score, including answer locking, timeouts, and the untimed Next step.
Quick start
A ten-question learning quiz where one flag is matched to a country from four names, followed by its capital, continent, and map location.
- Press Start and inspect the flag in the center of the screen.
- Choose one of the four country-name buttons within ten seconds.
- On the answer screen, read the country, capital, continent, and locator map.
- Press Next through all ten questions and review the final score out of ten.
Answers and score
Four distinct country names appear as buttons for each flag. Selecting one locks the answer so it cannot be changed, and the score increases by one only when that country matches the flag.
Each correct answer awards 1 point; a wrong answer or timeout awards zero. Ten questions make the final score range from 0 to 10.
Timeouts and feedback
Feedback shows the result, the correct flag and country name, a continent sentence containing the capital, and a locator map. It has no separate limit; a new ten-second countdown starts only after Next opens the following question.
Each question has a ten-second limit for choosing an answer. A timeout records that question as incorrect but does not fail or stop the whole game; answer feedback appears before the next round.
Phone and keyboard controls
On a phone, tap one of the four country names, read the feedback, and press Next. Pausing from the menu disables the choices and pauses the same countdown.
With a keyboard, use Tab to reach Start, answer, and Next buttons, then activate them with Enter or Space. Each new question focuses its first answer; there are no number-key shortcuts.
Frequently asked questions
Keeping question time separate from feedback time lets you study the country information without treating the answer screen as another speed test.
- Does the ten-second timer continue on the answer screen? No. The countdown stops when an answer is selected or time expires, and feedback remains until you press Next.
- Does one timeout end the entire game? No. Only that question is recorded as incorrect; the correct country information appears and the remaining questions continue.
